The Inauguration of Councillor Kevin Phillips as Tredegar Town Mayor and Councillor Ellie Griffin as Tredegar Town Deputy Mayor took place on Wednesday 1st May 2024. The short Service took place in The Council Chamber at Bedwellty House, Bedwellty Park and was followed with friends and family joining Cllr Phillips to congratulate him in The Carriage Room at Bedwellty House.

Chloe’s Community Cupboard
Chloe’s Community Cupboard is a not-for-profit community outlet providing toiletries, clothing and many more other items to anyone in the community that needs support. The shop has grown and grown, expanding to offer separate outlets for used school uniform and books but Chloe’s Community Cupboard is much more than a charity shop; the dedicated staff and volunteers help out the most vulnerable of families by providing household items and clothes free of charge to struggling families. The support they give to the community is amazing!
Parkinson’s UK
People with Parkinson’s don’t have enough of the chemical dopamine in their brain because some of the nerve cells that make it have stopped working. The symptoms start to appear when the brain can’t make enough dopamine to control movement properly and there are over 40 symptoms – the 3 main symptoms being a tremor (shaking), slowness of movement and rigidity (muscle stiffness).
Around 153,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK. And it’s the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.
